Everyone’s still going crazy about the nearest La Lola store that just opened up in their area; while their original churros with hot chocolate dip has been getting rave reviews and lines worth of attention, we decided to try out something new on their menu. 

 

 
While the original churros are served hot, these are dipped in dark chocolate and served cold. You’d think that you would be disappointed by the fact that you aren’t going to be having the crisp, melt-in-your-mouth experience, but instead you get a more solid crunch from the chilled churro while the dark chocolate coating somehow manages to keep it from getting stale and saturated. 

Personally, I think that one churro per person would be enough to satisfy, any more would be too much. Since the entire churro is coated, it’s quite rich and can get nakakaumay after awhile. 

They also offer the mixed variety where you get some original churros and some coated ones starting at Php 170 for the 6 pc variant– of course you’d still have to purchase the hot chocolate dip separately 😉
